Special Note about 9/11:

There are no words to adequately describe what has happened to America and more directly to New York City and Washington, DC as a result of the attacks on September 11th. As a 20-year resident of New York City, I am horrified at what has happened while at the same time tremendously proud of the way people have come together to help one another in this time of crisis. My heart goes out to all those who have lost family, friends and colleagues, as well as to those who are struggling to recover physically, financially, emotionally and spiritually.

I believe we will emerge from this tragedy stronger, safer and more peaceful than ever before--but only if each of us takes an active role in making that happen. I pray that the respect, kindness and helpfulness that people are now showing to one another remain as a long-needed legacy of this event.
